Upon arrival in Zagreb, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel. Welcome Dinner in your hotel. (D)
After breakfast, visit the historic Upper Town, the St Mark’s Church, and St. Catherine’s Church. View the Parliament and the Government Palace. See the Cathedral and stroll down to the Ban Jelacic Square to dive into the Christmas Market’ atmosphere. Enjoy a cup of mulled wine, stroll along the Zrinjevac Park and if you wish, go ice skating in the Ice Park with a track surrounding the entire park. Stay in the city on own or walk together back to your hotel. Along the way we will view the building of the Croatian National Theatre, the Modern Music Academy, and Mimara Museum. The rest of the day is at leisure (B)
After breakfast we continue to Ljubljana where we will meet our local guide for a city tour. We will walk across the famous Dragon Bridge, through festive squares and streets. Take the funicular railway up to Ljubljana Castle and enjoy a great view of the city, followed by free time to have fun at the Christmas market lively with music, street food and various happenings. Overnight stay at your hotel. (B)
Spend the morning getting to know one of the most beautiful natural lakes in the world. We visit the iconic Bled Castle, overlooking the lake from a cliff above. Continuing by bus to visit, we will continue to Radovljica, a medieval town where you will experience Radovljica’ Festive December. Even famous Coca Cola filmed one of their Christmas TV commercials in Radovljica! In the late afternoon return to Ljubljana to enjoy some more time in the beautiful festive city. (B)
In the morning, we will leave Slovenia and continue to Salzburg, the city of Mozart. Besides the well-known sites like Getreidegasse, the Cathedrale, the festival house, we will also view Mozart’ birthplace and the famous “Silent Night” chapel. In the afternoon, you will have time on your own for strolling around the Christmas market before we continue to Munich. Farewell dinner at Hofbräuhaus. (B, D)
Join a city tour of Munich – the capital of the state of Bavaria. We will view Nymphenburg castle. In past times, the baroque palace was the residence of the monarchs of Bavaria. Next will be the Rezidence, Maximilian and Leopold Street, the Opera, the Olympic grounds, the Marienplatz with the city hall and the famous Carillon, church of St. Peter, the Viktualien-market and many more. The afternoon dedicated to visit the oldest among the Christmas markets is Munich, Christkindlmarkt at Marienplatz (main square). (B)
