Inspired by the tall ship Preussen, the Royal Clipper has the proud distinction of being the largest and only five-mast full-rigged sailing ship built since her predecessor was launched at the beginning of the last century. With her complement of 42 sails, Royal Clipper is a splendid sight to behold. Built in the shipyards of Gdansk & Rotterdam in 2000, Royal Clipper can accommodate 210 cruising passengers in the tradition of sailing ships with comfort and discreet luxury of a modern boat. With its 134 m length and its 5200 m2 of square sails, Royal Clipper is designed like its predecessor, which sailed during the Edwardian period, between Europe and Chile.
OPEN SPACES
A full 19,000 square feet of open deck and three swimming pools create a wonderfully spacious and expansive outdoor environment.
The pools offer an oasis of freshness to the passengers on deck and can use seawater or freshwater.
They are all easily accessible. The greatest of these is incorporated into the ceiling of the Piano Bar and has a unique glass bottom that filters the light through the atrium to the dining room.
The Tropical Bar, an outdoor area protected by a curtain, is the true social center and meeting place of the boat, and events are held in the evening.
Find your secret hideaway on one of the hidden balconies on either side of the bow. Or climb the mast (with safety harness provided) to one of the passenger lookout crows-nests, thoughtfully furnished with a comfortable settee, where you’ll have the grandest view of all!
